With over 30 years of experience, state-of-the-art machinery and almost 1000 employees at three locations (Germany, the Netherlands and the USA), we are one of the most successful manufacturers of pet food in the private label sector.

History

Our story

1987

the Stockmeyer Group (heristo ag) took over a small pet food factory in Hattem (NL). Following modernization measures, canned dog and cat food laid the foundation for saturn petcare. 

1991

a new and larger production facility for wet food was built in Bremen (DE).

1999

the range was expanded to include dry food, snacks and cat milk. This year also saw the start of the cooperation with bosch Tiernahrung in Blaufelden, which specializes in the production of high-quality pet food.

2004

the Bremen site was expanded to include a modern high-bay warehouse with more than 20000 pallet spaces.

2020/21

saturn petcare expanded into the USA and, following modernization measures
modernization measures, the new production site for wet food in Indiana went into operation.
